NO SWAY™ works on the principle of either blocking or admitting
reflected ambient light to the golfer’s eyes. Whether the light is blocked
or admitted depends on the golfer’s head position with respect to NO SWAY™.
Reflected light establishes that the golfer’ s head is outside the preset
range and no reflected light establishes that the golfer’ s head is within
the preset range.
Head is in the correct Position
Head has moved too far Left
Head has moved too far Right
Two light baffles are used to monitor head movement position along a path
parallel to the target line. Reflected light establishes that the
golfer’ s head is either
outside and to the left [toward the target] of the preset range [red color] or
outside and to the right [away from the target] of the preset range [yellow color].
The range is adjustable between 1/32 inch and 4 inches. Very low head movement
is usually desirable during putting. Greater ranges up to 4 inches are utilized
to monitor head motion during full swings, pitching and chipping swings. Zero head movement during full swings is to be avoided as this promotes reverse pivot.
The set up for sway monitoring is:
Address the ball
Position NO SWAY ™ at the far side of the ball and rotate
the baffle mounting plate toward the golfer so that the tops of the baffles
appear as true lengths.
Position NO SWAY™ parallel to the intended line of flight
of the golf ball so that any head movement at address toward the target exposes
red reflected light.

A second set of adjustably positioned, inclined light baffles are used to monitor
lunging and bobbing head motion during
all the golf swings.
